how would you describe a pisces sun pisces ascendant, virgo moon chick? and what do you think would be the best combo (sun moon acs.)compatibility for me?

Firstly: most astrologers will probably agree that the number one sign to consider is your sun sign. However, some people believe the second-most important is the ascendant; others believe it to be the moon. I personally fall into the group who weigh ascendant signs heavier than moon signs, so I’ll be going with that type of approach, okay?

When I think of a “Sun Pisces” + “Ascendant Pisces” I immediately think, “Water + Water = Deluge.” Now, a deluge is a “severe/large flood.” This I mean to imply that this type of person is likely very emotional, very wishy-washy. Take the typical pisces, and amplify them. However, the virgo moon likely gives you a bit of security. I don’t think it’s necessarily enough to “reel you back into reality,” but it’s undoubtedly there. I’d imagine you’d like something secure to lean on before going into a new situation. This doesn’t necessarily mean facts, but may refer to a reassuring friend.

When it comes to relationships, I’ve read in a few places that this Pisces-Pisces combo can be a little critical when it comes to relationships? Something along the lines of idealizing their partner, not living up to standards, feeling crushed and lashing out. I’m not saying that’s true about you, but I will say that when you consider Virgo’s analytical attitude, I can’t help but wonder if this will be a difficulty you face? I doubt it’d be intentional, but I can’t help but feel that the combination might lead others to accuse you of criticizing them? Again, most-likely unintentional. I’m not trying to say a person with those signs is some kind of cruel person. No, hardly!

However, just by looking at these signs and not your Venus (which is always good to take into consideration with relationship), I would imagine you’d be good with water signs & earth signs. However, I don’t know how you’d fare with a Cancer. They can be a bit moody, too, and if what I said about the analyzing bit is true, I don’t know if a Cancer’s sensitivity could handle that.

Maybe a Scorpio Sun with a Capricorn Moon? That sounds like it might balance you out nicely. c:

What would you say for someone with their Sun and Moon in Pisces?

I’d say that the typical posts you see online and whatnot probably resonate well with them. If both sun and moon are in pisces, they’re probably very “pisces” through-and-through.

Hey, this blog is AWESOME. I wanted to know about a Pisces with her moon in Libra, too.~ Rising is Scorpio, too. It's always good to want to know more about yourself. :D

Oh, thank you! c:

So, Pisces with a moon in Libra, with a rising Scorpio.
Okay, this sounds like an individual who is both very intelligent, as well as very… lovey-dovey? Um, don’t think by that I mean a flowery individual. ;; Libra is ruled by Venus (planet of love & relationships), and Pisces & Scorpio are very love-orientated. Scorpios are very family-orientated (moreover with the idea of starting their own family, as opposed to love for their parents), and Pisces has been coined the most romantic sign. ;; Libras are very intelligent and logical, being an air sign, and Scorpios often view knowledge as power. It seems to me like a good balance of emotions and intelligence, though I wonder if this type of individual would often feel like they have a hard time “controlling” their emotions?

I’m not all that good at combining a bunch of signs, so I suggest looking into your natal astrology, if you’d like to learn more. c:

do you think pisces will ever stop being affected by people's emotions around them and start focusing on themselves ?

Um, I think perhaps as a Pisces matures and learns to value themselves, they’ll be able to balance their feelings for others, and their feelings for themselves. Pisces generally have a hard time with the concept that they ought to come first— but if they manage to, I think they’ll be able to become a person who is able to put their health first (whether it be mental, physical, emotional, etc).

I think it’ll certainly be a struggle, though.

On your recent explanation of a pisces sun/gemini moon, how does a gemini sun/pisces moon differ from that?

Well, the Gemini sun personality is quite different than the Pisces sun. Gemini’s tend to prefer logic, whereas Pisces prefer abstract ideas. Gemini’s prefer to debate, whereas Pisces prefer to theorize. If a Gemini has a moon in Pisces, I imagine they’d be far more logical-based than a Pisces, who tends to be emotion-based. If you’re at all familiar with Myers Briggs Type Indicator, I imagine Gemini is more of a “T” and Pisces would be an “F.” T being Thinking-dominate, and F being Feeling-dominate.

Gemini with a moon in Pisces, I imagine, would be less-bothered by nonsensical ideas, and be more in-tune with their emotions than other Geminis. A common gemini problem is that they have a hard time with their own emotions— but when you add in the Pisces moon, I imagine they’d gain a sense of intuition than other Geminis lack.

I think it’s more of a play on “Thinking” and “Feeling,” and which one dominates the other. Pisces sun, moon gemini are likely Feeling>Thinking, and Gemini sun, moon pisces are usually Thinking>Feeling.

Hey :) what can u tell about a pisces with moon in gemini?? I really love your blog <3

Thanks! c: <3

Coincidentally enough, I’m a Pisces with a moon in Gemini. c:

People with a moon in gemini are typically quite curious and witty. Combining this with a Pisces, however, would likely lead the Pisces to have a very scatterbrained mind— they think about a lot at once, most of which either contradicts or makes no “cohesive” sense. They can come across, I think, as a bit illogical, simply because both Pisces and Geminis tend to be able to comprehend things that to others seem like contradictions.

I think, unfortunately, the moon in gemini enhances pisces weaknesses. They’re very indecisive, and very self-critical. One thing about geminis, and moon in gemini individuals is, “It’s silly to insult them, because they’ve likely already thought it about themselves at one point or another.” Pisces already blames themselves for everything, and the moon in gemini, I think, allows the Pisces to come up with logical explanations to why it’s their fault. It’s a bit of a chaotic combination.

However, Gemini rules over communication, so when you take the Pisces attitude, I think it allows a Pisces to be more-articulate about their thoughts and feelings than when compared to other Pisces. They probably don’t struggle as much with the “transition process” involving what goes on in their head, to putting it into words.

I saw something called "Modalities" on another zodiac blog, but I like the way you explain things and I think you have a better understanding of some of it and can maybe help me understand them? What are they, and what makes Pisces a "Mutable?"

Firstly, c: I’d like to thank you for saying you like the way I explain things.

So, a Modality is a “basic characteristic.” If you think about the different elements in astrology, I think it might be easiest to think of modalities as simply “just another way to categorize/group the signs.” For example, Pisces is a water sign. There are certain characteristics to “water,” and these are traits pisces, cancers, and scorpios share. Similarly, a modality acts almost like a “foundation.” It’s something very basic in nature, that can be seen throughout the rest of the sign. So, “mutable” technically means “liable to change.” In astrology, we think of it like: “flexible and resourceful.” This trait is also a “foundation” in gemini, virgo, and sagittarius. It’s a basic characteristic that “radiates” throughout the rest of the sign.

So, pisces as we’ve both said is mutable. If you take the “flexible” and then think about other characteristics Pisces have— such as a hard time making decisions, and/or constantly changing their mind— you might be able to see how that is “flexible.” And, just like how cancer & scorpio share “water characteristics," gemini, virgo, and sagittarius share this similar "foundation."

I really hope that makes sense. Modality can be a bit confusing to grasp at first. c:

Hmmm what do you think a male pisces and a male scorpio??

Firstly, I don’t think gender has too much impact on a relationship. To me, “female pisces, male scorpio,” or “female pisces, female scorpio,” etc, etc— It’s all the same in my book. With that said, I’m totally biased on the PiscesxScorpio relationship. I’m a sap for Scorpios, and totally think this is one of the best pairings out there. These two signs can do so much for each other.

How do you work out what type of pisces you are ? Like - sun rising in leo, or whatever?

Technically, it’s all based on your time of birth, and the relation of the stars at that specific time. Most people just use a calculator of some sort, like this one for natal/birth astrology. It requires knowing your time/location of birth, but it will tell you just about everything you’ll want to know about your birth in regards to astrology. c:

Humorous (and slightly offensive) Astrology: Pisces

Everywhere you go, laughter and comedy ensue. This would be great if you were trying to be funny. You are deeply confused by the idea of sex. As far as you are concerned, if it didn’t happen in “The Velveteen Rabbit”, it doesn’t exist. Piscean women wear long floaty dresses and enormous amounts of unusual silver jewelry. On hikes. Pisceans claim to love the stars, but the only constellation they can find is the Big Dipper. If they cannot find it, they cry. You remember what you were wearing on March 3rd, 1981 but forget your own address. You have no sense of direction. The people you find going in reverse at 70 m.p.h. on the expressway are usually Pisceans. Pisceans are most likely to die by falling out of a window or getting run over by a truck. That is, of course, unless they live with a Cancer. Pisceans are so zoned and perpetually endangered that they can bring out the maternal instincts of a Leo. Don’t be fooled, however; many Pisceans can surprise you by kicking your ass and the asses of your four imaginary friends. While Leos tend to achieve the most fame in the field of entertainment, Pisceans strive to achieve historical greatness by sheer fluke. They are proud to tell you that Michelangelo, Galileo, George Washington, and Albert Einstein, none of whom had an agent, were all Pisceans. What they won’t tell you is that so is Ted Kennedy. Pisceans claim to want “honest criticism” of their work. Then they commit hara-kiri on the floor when you say you don’t like it. Never try to use logic with a Pisces; he or she is living about three feet off of the natural ground or in Narnia. Their tools of debate are non-sequiturs, quotes from Elizabeth Barrett Browning, and, of course, crying. It wouldn’t matter what linguistic devices Pisceans use to describe philosophical concepts because they aren’t positive they know what they’re talking about anyway. You cry over dead animals in the road but feel no remorse about mowing down humans you don’t like. Cancerians say one thing and do another. Scorpios say one thing and do it just for spite. Pisceans say far too much and do whatever the hell they want.

What do you know about sun in gemini, moon in pisces and ascending sign in capricorn?

Haha! Anon, isn’t there a gemini blog out there that might give you a better answer?? Well, I’ll take a stab at it. c:

Gemini’s the sign of communication. They’re often, therefore, pegged as “the communicator.” In my experience, a lot of gemini’s are INDEED talkative as you might expect! However, some can be surprisingly shy. c: In the way that, perhaps, the gemini prefers to communicate through an art form. I would imagine a Gemini with a moon in pisces to be a very creative individual. Personally, I think gemini’s are really creative. I think they’re an awesome blend on creative and confident! I think Pisces can have all these awesome ideas, but a lot don’t have the confidence to execute the ideas! This is what I mean by Gemini’s “creative and confident” combination. A lot of stunning artists I’ve met are geminis. c: But, I’d definitely be inclined to believe that the moon in pisces would lead a gemini to the more creative ways of communication, as opposed to the typical “talker.” An ascendant in capricorn, I think, adds a sort of gloom to anyone. The capricorn rising likely works towards the inverted nature a lot of artists have. As well, an overall sense of practicality would be prevalent in the gemini— whom of which can normally be very spontaneous individuals.

Haha, do try finding a gemini blog, though? c: I’m sure they could help you out more than I can. <3

Origin of Pisces

Pisces is depicted by two playful fish, frolicking head-to-tail in a counter-clockwise direction, although it is also shown as two fish facing opposite directions linked by a band. Egyptian astrologers believed the constellation Pegasus was a boat that pulled the two fish underneath it—hence the band.

In Greek astrology, the Pisces story is similar to that of Capricorn. Venus and Cupid were supposedly playing innocently by a river when they were approached by a monster (the same one, in fact, that threatened Capricorn). Like Capricorn, they dove into the river for safety, at which time the goddess Minerva took pity on them and lifted them into the heavens for posterity.

The significant aspects to this myth are many. First of all, Venus represents pure love and Cupid mischief in romance, both of which are strongly present in the Piscean character. Secondly, the two were saved by water—hence Pisces is a water sign, occurring during the time of year when rainfall is most plentiful. In fact, Jesus Christ was born in the Piscean age (time itself travels through ages of the zodiac which affect us all), promised to wash away man’s sins, and is often represented by a fish; he also fed multitudes of people with two fish and five loaves, magically turning them into twelve baskets of food, which astrologers believe to be symbolic of the Piscean trait of great spiritual love to all twelve zodiac signs. Finally, Minerva is the goddess of wisdom and patroness of the arts; so Pisceans are spiritually wise and immensely creative.

Pisces is ruled by both Jupiter and Neptune, both of which govern the imagination and emotions, as opposed to practical matters. As a result, Pisceans are the most sensitive, creative, and adaptable of all the signs, but the least organized. In the anatomical realm, Pisces rules the feet and toes, the foundation on which the entire body is supported. This is ironic, because Pisceans are not considered strong people, either physically or emotionally. But just as each sign is assigned a part of the body, so each is also assigned a stage of man’s life; the ancients believed that Aries’ immature selfishness resembles the first stage of childhood, and that therefore Pisces’ spiritual wisdom represents the final stage of maturity. Indeed, there is a great deal of strength—albeit a misunderstood one—in spiritual wisdom.

What can u say about a dude with rising virgo, moon in libra and pisces sun

This actually sounds quite well-rounded! A great mixture of creativity, imagination, intellect, and level headed-ness. The combination of Pisces and the air sign moon implies an individual who is both creative, but has a logical, practicality of things. The virgo rising, I would imagine, would almost allow this Pisces individual to “keep their dreamy nature in check.” Like, people will say how earth signs “reel in” a pisces back into reality— with the virgo rising, I’d believe that the individual has a good enough sense of practicality to not lose themselves. c:
