okay so... i did the ascendant thing and the entire chart and well.. im a pisces with ascendants in scorpio and moon sign sagitarius, and my bf is a virgo ascendants in scorpio and moon sign in sagitarius do u sometimes think that the ascendants mean more then the actual zodiac sign?

No, I don’t think that the ascendant means more than your sun sign— or as you said, “the actual zodiac sign.” I do believe the ascendant plays a factor in compatibility, but I think the sun sign keeps everything “in check.” Even to individuals who feel as though their ascendant or moon sign overpowers their sun sign, I still feel as though their sun somehow influences their overall character.

Some people I do think will tell you if a moon is in a water sign, and the sun is not, perhaps it will play a larger role occasionally. I’m ambivalent as to what I think about that— but I can’t argue that there are people who definitely identify more with their moon or ascendant more than their sun. I still believe if that’s the case, their sun sign still keeps the rest of the chart “in line."

So, I’m technically done with my classes for the semester. I still have my finals to do, so I’m not completely done with the semester yet— but I’ve been brainstorming for some new stuff for the blog. And, well, here’s what I’ve been thinking:

• Pisces Sun + Ascendant Sign posts
I’ve already done Ascendant Sign Posts in the past, but I’ve been thinking about combining Ascendants and Sun Signs into one post. It’d be strictly my interpretation, mind you.

• Conversations of a Pisces
Chat posts involving Pisces and another sign of the zodiac that display stereotypical traits of said signs.

• Weekly Polls
I just need to make sure I can come up with questions to ask you guys. Hahaha.

That’s all in addition to Pisces Trait posts, hopefully.

your love for scorpios makes me so happy. i love you pisces probably just as much as you love us scorps. you guys amaze me and i want nobody else but a pisces. i'm happy to see i don't scare some of you off with all the intenseness and jealousy (and i am loaded with that being a scorp sun + scorp moon). so thanks for always making me smile :)

You know what’s funny about this? For some reason, the thought of a Scorpio reading what I say about Scorpios never crossed my mind— ahahaha. wow. okay. so. A little bit embarrassed right now.

Oh but, I honestly kind of doubt you love Pisces as much as I love Scorpios— only because I really, really love Scorpios.

And, I personally believe only 10% of Pisces (who actually identify with the stereotype) are genuinely scared of Scorpios. I mean, yeah, Scorpios are intense, and passionate, and bold— and we’ll retreat in response to that. But on the inside? I’m preeeetty sure the majority of Pisces are melting. Considering we’re hopeless romantics, and sort of eat that up.

Haha, and you’re welcome. c:

#that awkward moment when your pisces blog doubles as a scorpio ego boost blog
I actually have a Scorpio BF but i'm scared of loosing him and is not that he does nothing bad on the contrary hes actually so perfect that i'm scared some one else will find out how awesome he is. Do you have any idea if a Pisces and a Scorpio really make a good enough match to actually live together till then end?

Well, I will say this: Scorpio and Pisces are notorious for having on-again off-again relationships. It’s like, they get fed up with each other, but then they can’t live without each other… only to get fed up again— but wait, then they remember they can’t function properly without one another— etc etc.

I looked at marriage rates a while back between Pisces and other signs, and the rate between Pisces and Scorpio is pretty decent (especially considering divorce rates nowadays).

But I can tell you this: your worry is very normal of a Pisces, simply because many Pisces lack self-confidence and therefore have insecurity issues. The only way for you to find out is to keep heading onwards; don’t be too afraid of what may or may not come. To me, acting on the idea that “he might just leave me for someone better” is just as silly as … well, buying clothes two sizes too small with the idea that you’re going to dress the body you want to have. You have no idea what body you may or may not have— just as you don’t know what the future of your relationship holds. Have ambition, and take confidence in how awesome your Scorpio is. Not to mention, taking pride in how amazing you find your partner will likely be a turn-on to your Scorpio.

OMG YAY!!!! YOU ARE DATING A SCORPIO ;) How did you do it? How can we attract them?

… I AM? WHEN DID THAT HAPPEN?

No, um, sorry for the misunderstanding? I’m not dating a Scorpio. Well, umm… more precisely, I’m not dating anyone. hahaha.

What are the perks of being in a relationship with a scorpio?

Disclaimer. Anon, you know how biased I am about Scorpios, right? Haha. I’ll try not to be too biased, but:

( Speaking to a Pisces being in a relationship with a Scorpio, of course )

The thing about this pair that I personally adore has to do with the combination of Pisces being the “timid dreamer” and Scorpio being the “passionate catalyst” to making Pisces’ fantasies a reality. I personally think Scorpio can be both an emotional and grounding partner for Pisces, because I think they possess a very logical quality about them that a Pisces needs to ease smoothly into reality. (Because, as it is, many Pisces dislike reality and have a hard time coping with the things we dislike/find depressing about society, etc). Of course, many Scorpios will come off as too blunt and harsh for a Pisces, but I’m supposed to be focusing on the perks right now. Pisces are notably empathic, which suits with Scorpio swimmingly (no pun intended). Many Scorpios are uncomfortable with showing, talking, and/or explaining their emotions, and a Pisces can normally adapt to this type of “communication style” (or lack there of), simply because Pisces can almost innately understand the Scorpio without need for words. I almost think this establishes a type of “telepathic bond,” personally.

I mean, there are other perks I can think of— but they’re all incredibly biased. For example, Scorpios tend to become jealous easily. And to me, I find that really alluring…  /cough

I am a Pisces Gemini rising and Gemini ascending. I am very bipolar. Yet to shy to show it, i have only shown my bad side to my ex girlfriend. I am always depressed, confused and never see the point in anything. Yet i am very very pisces, but the negative side of pisces. I am seeking help in some way or another. Because i need advice and quick. I am destroying my self emotionally and spiritually.

I don’t mean to pass judgement, but why turn to astrology? If you are experiencing self-destructive behavior, you ought to seek professional help. :c And I’m certainly not qualified to give you the help you need. That’s not the answer you’re looking for, I know. And, though it’s possible you’re using the term “bipolar” in a cultural sense, rather than a diagnostic sense, if you truly show signs of having Bipolar Disorder, then I stress the seeking professional help even more. If you are having severe emotional issues, I’m afraid there’s not much I can do for you. :c

So, in response to “I am seeking help in some way or another,” I suppose my advice is clear? Seek help from a professional. I wouldn’t want to misguide someone in a fragile state of mind, and only worsen your issue.

hi I wanted to know the compatibility with a pisces sun- capricorn rising- taurus moon with a sagittarius sun- virgo rising- aquarius moon versus pisces sun- capricorn rising- taurus moon with a leo sun- pisces rising- libra moon

Um, I’m inclined to go with the Sagittarius here. I had kind of a tough time deciding— but, ultimately what a looked at here was the modality of the signs. Pisces and Sagittarius are both mutable signs, and Taurus(moon) and Aquarius(moon) are both fixed signs. This leads me to believe that perhaps the pair is more compatible. But in either case, the element of the signs don’t match up quite harmoniously, and it might be rather rocky. ><

I am a Pisces, but I feel like I am an anarchist. I hate following directions and rules. Is this a Pisces trait? :) love your blog btw

Well, I can certainly tell you that I’m a borderline anarchist myself. As far as a Pisces trait? Well, yes and no. Pisces are generally go with the flow and they generally dislike conflict, and … well, not following directions generally does bring conflict. However, I think it’s very Piscean to follow your intuition. So if your intuition/gut tells you to do something that goes and against the rules…

Well, see, I think with Pisces it’s not so much a downright rebellion? It’s almost more of a coincidence. Like, I don’t think it’s very Pisces-like to purposely do things against the rules, simply because it’s against the rules. More like, what we feel is “right” just so happens to be… not what was directed of us? Does that make sense?

“There are several routes out of the maze of illusion, betrayal and rejection - one of them is to turn your watery nature into ice, thus living a celibate existence and channelling your loving energy into other pursuits; another is to martyr yourself to a troubled and unfulfilling marriage, pining and withering on the vine. Many celestial Fish opt for either of these two courses. But there is a third way. By accepting that all human beings are flawed, and that we only truly find the heaven in another person once we have exited this earthly realm is a good start. No one person can make our lives for us: we must do that ourselves, but we may find someone who can share the journey with us. In working with the reality of a relationship and tossing out the dream factor you could find that you do indeed have a prince of a guy. And if anyone can find him, you can.”—Pisces in Love

Pisces Confession:

Lost in fantasy, we are easily considered the most creative and imaginative sign. This is what make us great poetry, music, acting, art and story writing. What restrains us from letting our creative nature show? Our timid nature.

Hi im a 30 year old Pisces male, i got huge troubles finding my inner fantasy and creativity, which i should have a lot of, but it totally gone and been all my life, i always feel like a copy cat of others choices and work, cant think straight and clear. My emotional side is really big so this have cost me really low self esteem, and i don't really feel my inner self and what i like and want...How can i find this creative gift as i should have as Pisces. Thanks

Firstly, I do think many Pisces struggle with this at one point or another.

Is it possible your emotional instability is blocking your creative energy from blossoming? I personally am of the belief that if you struggle with internal struggles, like low self esteem, it causes a sort of “blockage” that makes it difficult for a person’s creative nature to truly shine. Likewise, you say you don’t “really feel your inner self” which I suggest might be your first step towards finding your creative energy. You need to be in-tune with your body as a whole, I think, and this might mean going through some self-reflection to find and embrace this inner-self. After all, if creativity stems from within, and you don’t feel your inner self… it’s natural that you can’t find your inner fantasy. I think meditation and yoga is a good way to balance yourself, but I understand if that’s not “your cup of tea."

Not sure if this is pisces related or not but...I went to see an astrologist at this fair-ish thing and by looking at my chart she told me that I wasn't very close to my fathers side of the family. Now how on earth would she be able to know that?

Um, I don’t know? I'm amateur at best when it comes to reading charts. I guess it’s possible there’s something in a chart that would point towards “daddy issues,” but I wouldn’t know of it.

Is it strange that sometimes I'll just go into a really depressing mood sometimes? Like it will be wonderful and then I'll just feel like crap. Is that normal? How can I snap out of it?

Yes, it’s quite normal, I think. I mean, I’m not sure if this is entirely related, but a lot of the time with Pisces particularly, we’ll kind of be in our own world— and when reality finally hits us, we become really depressed. However, most astrology sources I’ve looked into does say Pisces are prone to depression. To snap out of it? I think most Pisces prefer to just escape it. However, I think if you can manage to engage in creative activity it might help. Or perhaps surround yourself with good energy? So, if you have a friend or a small group of friends who are usually cheerful, absorbing their good, happy nature might help you. Pisces tend to take in the emotions of those around them— so if you’re in a slump, it might be helpful to be around people who might cheer you up. c:

Pisces Confession:

I hate how Pisces are written off as the “weakest” of the zodiac in Western astrology. We’re not. Kindness and acceptance =/= weakness. Sometimes I prefer the Medicine Wheel, which is Native American astrology. The corresponding zodiac is the Mountain Lion. When we Pisces get pushed to the brink, I like to think we bring out our inner cougars - and unleash our claws and teeth. Just something for you Pisces to think about when feeling down or are told that Pisces are weak.

Pisces Confession:

I like how Pisces is portrayed as the sensitive almost fragile sign, but I know how to make someone’s life a living hell–one full of guilt and hatred for themselves; a little taste of what this Pisces feels when other signs step on her. Though, you other signs bet your asses that this kind of revenge is incredibly rare. Oh, and by the way? We Pisces tend to have all those parts of you that you’re afraid of letting anyone else see, because you’re just that open to us.

good study tips for pieces?

Study in an environment where you won’t get easily distracted. Pisces notoriously daydream and get off track when they’re supposed to be focusing, so try to eliminate things that will distract you. Unfortunately, nowadays a lot of studying is done on the computer… which is a horrible enabler for distractions. For that reason, if I’m doing an essay or something, I try to do most of my pre-writing by hand. Away from a computer. I also try to be away from people, and I avoid listening to music that I’ll end up breaking into song and dance…

Also, do NOT let yourself procrastinate. Oh my god. We all do it— but Pisces are so horrible with this. Especially if it’s with a subject we dislike! For one, procrastination acts very much like a self-defense mechanism against failure— and two, Pisces can be a bit lazy… So, like, FORCE yourself to make a schedule. Okay, I hate schedules. Hate them. I’d rather do things at my own pace— but you can be lose about it. Like, “Tuesday to Wednesday I need to do _____.” You don’t need to obsess and be like, “4:00PM - 8:00PM do ______.” I think there’s a happy medium to be found in scheduling, it just takes trial and error and practicing to see what works for you.

Hey! I just got into a relationship with an Aquarius, and I'm getting really distant, which I find odd because I'm always clingy, what can I do to be less distant with him? ( I really like him, and want to keep this relationship going)

Well, you could try to identify why you think you’ve become distant. Any ideas why you think you’ve become distant? But, well, with an Aquarius I have to say it might be a good thing you’re not your clingy-self, because that’s a bit of a turn-off. However, I think maybe if you two go out and do physical activities, that might help? Like, go out to the movies, go to the park— stuff like that. I mean, that’s assuming you mean physically distant… as, you could of course be feeling “emotionally distant.” However, I feel that spending quality time with others often allows people to open up emotionally? So, I suppose that’s my advice.

why as a pisces everyone thinks that ever word im saying im trying to play the victim?

Pisces tend to come off as people who have a lot of self-pity. And, generally? People who have a lot of pity for themselves come off as “being victimized.” I mean, it’s probably your word choice, body language, things you’re perhaps not consciously aware of.

just wondering, when people ask, 'what do you think of this sign & this sign?' would the answer be the same in different types of relationships like family / friends?

Oh, yeah. Definitely. Generally, when people ask “signxsign” they’re speaking compatibility— but I’ve read stuff on parent-child relationships between signs, siblings with different signs, friendships, etc. I mean, take Pisces. Pisces aren’t going to be the same with a lover like they are with a friend. The needs are different. You know?

I am a pisces female born on march 5th, I've been in an on and off thing that has been really passionate, volatile, and messed up, with a pisces male born march 4th. While we seem to be the same person and we're incredibly sexually attracted to each other, we each seem to have issues fully being ourselves. I need help :/

Is it possible the two of you perhaps struggle with some kind of depression? I only ask because you say “passionate, volatile, and messed up.” And I say both of you, because you say that you seem to be the same person. I don’t necessarily think your issues so much have to do with astrology, so much as they might have to do with other, internal issues. However, Pisces are notoriously prone to depression. Is that a possibility? It’s only my opinion, of course, but I find people who struggle with depression do have problems with “fully being themselves,” as you put it. Many people who are depressed also battle insecurities… well, to cut it short, is it possible you have reason to not fully show yourself? Perhaps you dislike yourself? Or you’re worried the other won’t still like the “complete” you? Do you see where I’m getting at?

I’m sorry if I’ve overstepped my boundaries— this is a Pisces, Astrology blog. I just can’t help but wonder if that’s a possible culprit? I mean, it does make sense with the Pisces nature.

What It's Like to Date a Pisces

Dating the Pisces Woman

Pisces women are very captivating and fascinating. She makes a man feel like a man because of her need for a protector and leader. She is charming, soft and feminine. The ultimate enchantress. She can see right through a man and she is not easy to fool, so any man better be straight with her and not lead her on, because instead of confronting him, she will simply disappear. She needs to nurture and will give the man orders, but only for his own good. She will make sure he is eating properly and getting enough sleep, sort of like a mother nurturing a child. What she needs in return is a man to protect and cherish her, make her feel like she is needed and loved. She might almost be clingy and dependent but never overbearingly. Her partner will become of better half. She needs patience and sympathy and you have to be gentle with her. Don’t poke fun or tease and definitely do not reject her harshly because she can’t stand rejection. She is extremely romantic and will lose herself in the relationship. The Pisces woman is the ultra feminine nurturer, the ideal woman for the right man.

Dating the Pisces Man

Pisces man is is the ultimate romantic, the sensitive man who feels with a woman. Pisces male is the ideal zodiac sign for the woman who complains that men are not sensitive enough, this man is. However, he has such an ideal of romance that is unrealistic and will fall out of love when he realizes that there is no such thing as the perfect woman. This man lives in the world of dreams and he needs a woman to keep him grounded. He always seems to chose the wrong woman, or a woman he can’t have like a married woman that way there is no worry about becoming emotionally attached. He needs a woman who can dominate him, but very subtly. She has to be able to help him steer clear of bad habits and bad thoughts. Pisces man needs sensitivity, generosity and compassion, nurture him and he will nurture you back. A fulfilling emotional relationship for the strong yet sensitive woman.

How To Attract A Pisces

Talk about spirituality, the occult, astrology, anything that is out of reach of the real world. They will easily get lost in a good conversation. Although they are attracted to people with severe problems who desperately need help, this actually does more harm them good. Even though Pisces will offer to make everything right, do not allow them to take on all your problems because they will lose their identity in your situation. They need a strong positive partner to make them strong. Pisces like adventure, new situation and social events and will be up to doing almost anything that you suggest. Make them laugh, they are usually melancholy and will be impressed if someone has the ability to make them laugh. They are not very conservative people so do not be afraid to talk about unconventional or strange things and tell them odd jokes, they will be impressed by that. They are suckers for flattery give them compliments and tell them in a roundabout way that you admire them. Be sensitive, generous and gentle, make them feel comfortable with you and make them feel good about themselves and all will be smooth sailing!
