Pisces Confession:

Lost in fantasy, we are easily considered the most creative and imaginative sign. This is what make us great poetry, music, acting, art and story writing. What restrains us from letting our creative nature show? Our timid nature.

Hi im a 30 year old Pisces male, i got huge troubles finding my inner fantasy and creativity, which i should have a lot of, but it totally gone and been all my life, i always feel like a copy cat of others choices and work, cant think straight and clear. My emotional side is really big so this have cost me really low self esteem, and i don't really feel my inner self and what i like and want...How can i find this creative gift as i should have as Pisces. Thanks

Firstly, I do think many Pisces struggle with this at one point or another.

Is it possible your emotional instability is blocking your creative energy from blossoming? I personally am of the belief that if you struggle with internal struggles, like low self esteem, it causes a sort of “blockage” that makes it difficult for a person’s creative nature to truly shine. Likewise, you say you don’t “really feel your inner self” which I suggest might be your first step towards finding your creative energy. You need to be in-tune with your body as a whole, I think, and this might mean going through some self-reflection to find and embrace this inner-self. After all, if creativity stems from within, and you don’t feel your inner self… it’s natural that you can’t find your inner fantasy. I think meditation and yoga is a good way to balance yourself, but I understand if that’s not “your cup of tea."

Not sure if this is pisces related or not but...I went to see an astrologist at this fair-ish thing and by looking at my chart she told me that I wasn't very close to my fathers side of the family. Now how on earth would she be able to know that?

Um, I don’t know? I'm amateur at best when it comes to reading charts. I guess it’s possible there’s something in a chart that would point towards “daddy issues,” but I wouldn’t know of it.

Is it strange that sometimes I'll just go into a really depressing mood sometimes? Like it will be wonderful and then I'll just feel like crap. Is that normal? How can I snap out of it?

Yes, it’s quite normal, I think. I mean, I’m not sure if this is entirely related, but a lot of the time with Pisces particularly, we’ll kind of be in our own world— and when reality finally hits us, we become really depressed. However, most astrology sources I’ve looked into does say Pisces are prone to depression. To snap out of it? I think most Pisces prefer to just escape it. However, I think if you can manage to engage in creative activity it might help. Or perhaps surround yourself with good energy? So, if you have a friend or a small group of friends who are usually cheerful, absorbing their good, happy nature might help you. Pisces tend to take in the emotions of those around them— so if you’re in a slump, it might be helpful to be around people who might cheer you up. c:

Pisces Confession:

I hate how Pisces are written off as the “weakest” of the zodiac in Western astrology. We’re not. Kindness and acceptance =/= weakness. Sometimes I prefer the Medicine Wheel, which is Native American astrology. The corresponding zodiac is the Mountain Lion. When we Pisces get pushed to the brink, I like to think we bring out our inner cougars - and unleash our claws and teeth. Just something for you Pisces to think about when feeling down or are told that Pisces are weak.

Pisces Confession:

I like how Pisces is portrayed as the sensitive almost fragile sign, but I know how to make someone’s life a living hell–one full of guilt and hatred for themselves; a little taste of what this Pisces feels when other signs step on her. Though, you other signs bet your asses that this kind of revenge is incredibly rare. Oh, and by the way? We Pisces tend to have all those parts of you that you’re afraid of letting anyone else see, because you’re just that open to us.

good study tips for pieces?

Study in an environment where you won’t get easily distracted. Pisces notoriously daydream and get off track when they’re supposed to be focusing, so try to eliminate things that will distract you. Unfortunately, nowadays a lot of studying is done on the computer… which is a horrible enabler for distractions. For that reason, if I’m doing an essay or something, I try to do most of my pre-writing by hand. Away from a computer. I also try to be away from people, and I avoid listening to music that I’ll end up breaking into song and dance…

Also, do NOT let yourself procrastinate. Oh my god. We all do it— but Pisces are so horrible with this. Especially if it’s with a subject we dislike! For one, procrastination acts very much like a self-defense mechanism against failure— and two, Pisces can be a bit lazy… So, like, FORCE yourself to make a schedule. Okay, I hate schedules. Hate them. I’d rather do things at my own pace— but you can be lose about it. Like, “Tuesday to Wednesday I need to do _____.” You don’t need to obsess and be like, “4:00PM - 8:00PM do ______.” I think there’s a happy medium to be found in scheduling, it just takes trial and error and practicing to see what works for you.

Hey! I just got into a relationship with an Aquarius, and I'm getting really distant, which I find odd because I'm always clingy, what can I do to be less distant with him? ( I really like him, and want to keep this relationship going)

Well, you could try to identify why you think you’ve become distant. Any ideas why you think you’ve become distant? But, well, with an Aquarius I have to say it might be a good thing you’re not your clingy-self, because that’s a bit of a turn-off. However, I think maybe if you two go out and do physical activities, that might help? Like, go out to the movies, go to the park— stuff like that. I mean, that’s assuming you mean physically distant… as, you could of course be feeling “emotionally distant.” However, I feel that spending quality time with others often allows people to open up emotionally? So, I suppose that’s my advice.

why as a pisces everyone thinks that ever word im saying im trying to play the victim?

Pisces tend to come off as people who have a lot of self-pity. And, generally? People who have a lot of pity for themselves come off as “being victimized.” I mean, it’s probably your word choice, body language, things you’re perhaps not consciously aware of.

just wondering, when people ask, 'what do you think of this sign & this sign?' would the answer be the same in different types of relationships like family / friends?

Oh, yeah. Definitely. Generally, when people ask “signxsign” they’re speaking compatibility— but I’ve read stuff on parent-child relationships between signs, siblings with different signs, friendships, etc. I mean, take Pisces. Pisces aren’t going to be the same with a lover like they are with a friend. The needs are different. You know?

I am a pisces female born on march 5th, I've been in an on and off thing that has been really passionate, volatile, and messed up, with a pisces male born march 4th. While we seem to be the same person and we're incredibly sexually attracted to each other, we each seem to have issues fully being ourselves. I need help :/

Is it possible the two of you perhaps struggle with some kind of depression? I only ask because you say “passionate, volatile, and messed up.” And I say both of you, because you say that you seem to be the same person. I don’t necessarily think your issues so much have to do with astrology, so much as they might have to do with other, internal issues. However, Pisces are notoriously prone to depression. Is that a possibility? It’s only my opinion, of course, but I find people who struggle with depression do have problems with “fully being themselves,” as you put it. Many people who are depressed also battle insecurities… well, to cut it short, is it possible you have reason to not fully show yourself? Perhaps you dislike yourself? Or you’re worried the other won’t still like the “complete” you? Do you see where I’m getting at?

I’m sorry if I’ve overstepped my boundaries— this is a Pisces, Astrology blog. I just can’t help but wonder if that’s a possible culprit? I mean, it does make sense with the Pisces nature.

What It's Like to Date a Pisces

Dating the Pisces Woman

Pisces women are very captivating and fascinating. She makes a man feel like a man because of her need for a protector and leader. She is charming, soft and feminine. The ultimate enchantress. She can see right through a man and she is not easy to fool, so any man better be straight with her and not lead her on, because instead of confronting him, she will simply disappear. She needs to nurture and will give the man orders, but only for his own good. She will make sure he is eating properly and getting enough sleep, sort of like a mother nurturing a child. What she needs in return is a man to protect and cherish her, make her feel like she is needed and loved. She might almost be clingy and dependent but never overbearingly. Her partner will become of better half. She needs patience and sympathy and you have to be gentle with her. Don’t poke fun or tease and definitely do not reject her harshly because she can’t stand rejection. She is extremely romantic and will lose herself in the relationship. The Pisces woman is the ultra feminine nurturer, the ideal woman for the right man.

Dating the Pisces Man

Pisces man is is the ultimate romantic, the sensitive man who feels with a woman. Pisces male is the ideal zodiac sign for the woman who complains that men are not sensitive enough, this man is. However, he has such an ideal of romance that is unrealistic and will fall out of love when he realizes that there is no such thing as the perfect woman. This man lives in the world of dreams and he needs a woman to keep him grounded. He always seems to chose the wrong woman, or a woman he can’t have like a married woman that way there is no worry about becoming emotionally attached. He needs a woman who can dominate him, but very subtly. She has to be able to help him steer clear of bad habits and bad thoughts. Pisces man needs sensitivity, generosity and compassion, nurture him and he will nurture you back. A fulfilling emotional relationship for the strong yet sensitive woman.

How To Attract A Pisces

Talk about spirituality, the occult, astrology, anything that is out of reach of the real world. They will easily get lost in a good conversation. Although they are attracted to people with severe problems who desperately need help, this actually does more harm them good. Even though Pisces will offer to make everything right, do not allow them to take on all your problems because they will lose their identity in your situation. They need a strong positive partner to make them strong. Pisces like adventure, new situation and social events and will be up to doing almost anything that you suggest. Make them laugh, they are usually melancholy and will be impressed if someone has the ability to make them laugh. They are not very conservative people so do not be afraid to talk about unconventional or strange things and tell them odd jokes, they will be impressed by that. They are suckers for flattery give them compliments and tell them in a roundabout way that you admire them. Be sensitive, generous and gentle, make them feel comfortable with you and make them feel good about themselves and all will be smooth sailing!

April 2012

What are your thoughts on a pisces/male and an aquarius/female relationship?

Well, I personally think in PiscesxAquarius relationships in general, the Aquarius won’t be anywhere near as emotionally invested as the Pisces. I’m personally not really in favor for this pair. :c I mean, there are some good qualities, for sure! The Aquarius can bring Pisces into reality, while giving Pisces a protective, secure relationship. I just think the odds are certainly against this pair.

Apr 28, 2012
I meant changes like, personality and social skills...

Well, still. Yeah, I think people have the ability to change their own personality and social skills. Not immediately; it takes a while. Especially if a person has some kind of social anxiety disorder— but it’s possible, certainly.

Apr 28, 2012
I believe in fate, luck and karma.

Are pisces people able to change themselves? when they want to?

Well, I do think all people have the ability to change themselves. At least to a degree. I mean, no one can change their genes— if you’re born with something, you can’t change it… but, I do think there’s a good deal of things everyone, not just Pisces, can change. But when they want to? No, not right that second. It takes time, I think.

Hi! I'm a Pisces female (Venus in Aquarius) who's dating a Libra male. For the most part, we click really well, and overall we've got a really good relationship. My only problem is that he's doesn't seem quite as emotionally invested as me. He's kind of distant, and sometimes I feel like I can't really talk to him about how I'm feeling because he doesn't really understand. Everything else about our relationship is great. I just feel like he isn't very sensitive. Any advice to get him to open up?

Well, air signs are typically independent in relationships— at least as far as water signs are concerned. The problem you’re facing is quite common, truthfully, between Pisces and Libras. Sensitivity is really a personality trait, but if you could perhaps increase his empathy towards your needs, he’d become more sympathetic? I’m just not too sure how you’d go about doing that. You can’t really force a person to understand— they have to come about that on their own. So, I’m honestly not too sure how you’d get him to open up. I mean, if he doesn’t understand you and isn’t all too sensitive… that’s not something you can really change, I don’t think. :c This isn’t the answer you were looking for, I know. And I apologize.

Do you know if pisces are the jealous type or are not morning people (I read somewhere they're often late so they can't do 9-5 jobs)? I just want to know if it's just me.. BTW, do you know any books pisces would like? I'm open-minded :3

Um, I think many Pisces can be insecure— which can lead to jealousy? I mean, Pisces are prone to low self esteem, which tends to co-occur with insecurity. And, personally, I think jealousy stems from insecurity… so, perhaps? Haha, that’s not a very good answer, is it?

I do think Pisces are more of evening people than morning people, only because I recall reading that people who prefer the evening tend to be more creative? And Pisces tend to be more creative? However, I’m not sure if being late has to do with 9-5 jobs. ;; I mean, yes, I’ve heard that many Pisces tend to have problems with being on time, but many Pisces just prefer self-employment to 9-5 jobs, which normally means working under someone else.

As far as books go? Um, well, fantasy-genre, especially high-fantasy. Anything with a dystopian society or alternate realities, too. I personally love magical realism, taboo, occult, and paranormal topics. That doesn’t really help, either, does it? :c

Do you think it's hard to get to know a Pisces? I feel like I am very secretive and I often feel uncomfortable sharing my dreams and creativity with other people I'm not extremely close to. I see the world in a really beautiful way and it's hard for me to share that with other people.

Well, yes and no.

I think it’s easy to understand the “basic gist” of a pisces. I think the majority of Pisces are quite… well, exposed? I mean, I think if you looked at a person who fit the stereotypical Pisces, many people would describe them with words that were more-or-less truthful about them! You know, words like: shy, sensitive, caring, etc. But that hardly sums up a person! However, I think a lot of people might just leave it at that, and think they understand the Pisces completely, when they just know the face-value. Does that make sense? Pisces are often compared to the ocean— the ocean is vast, deep, and most of it hasn’t been explored yet. Most people only see the face of the ocean; likewise, most people only see the surface of a Pisces! Because, yes, as you said— I think many of us are a little secretive or feel uncomfortable? Or perhaps don’t reveal everything? Like the ocean, Pisces have many layers. And many Pisces, I think, don’t often reveal all the different layers to the way they think, or feel, etc. Therefore, because many people don’t get through all those layers, we might feel as though we’re hard to “get to know."

So, I think it’s easy to understand a Pisces’ nature at face value— but that alone doesn’t mean much, especially since I believe Pisces have a lot underneath that face value.

So I'm a march 12 and this person I've just recently started talking to is a scorpio (November 16).I usually reject his type at all cost. But there's something about him, like who he really is. The problem is he won't show his inner, real self at all. No matter what I do. So do you think he will ever reveal that? Am I supposed to work for it? Is all this work good for nothing? Is this even a good match to begin with? Thanks a bunch(:

Well, yes, Pisces and Scorpio are generally quite compatible. So, don’t worry! By rule of thumb, your effort isn’t in vain. <3 Now, Scorpios I think test people. Sometimes intentionally, sometimes not. They’re quite protective of their inner-self, because I think most realize how sensitive they truly are on the inside. Now, let’s look at Scorpio— they’re a fellow water sign, but the Scorpion (like the Crab), is covered with an exoskeleton. Pisces is the only water sign that is not shielded with a hard exterior! Likewise, Scorpio (and Cancer), are quite protective and conceal themselves quite a lot. Almost innately! Will he ever reveal his true, inner self? Well, maybe, maybe not. See, Pisces are generally quite empathic, and can normally sense what Scorpio’s interior workings are. That’s one of the beauties of this pair. I think Scorpio, however, might reveal himself after he learns Pisces truly does understand him. This would take quite a while, though. It might take a bit of work, yes, but I think it might prove worthwhile.

I’m a pisces male here is my entire chart. I am dating a Leo Female (i’m not sure her moon or ascendant… i know that we need to work hard for the relationship to work (we have been together for almost 4 years), but sometimes it feels she is unwilling to work with my feelings. she can be incredibly blunt and sarcastic and speak what is on her mind without thinking of my emotions. i on the other hand am very sensitive towards these kinds of things, and i have tried to ask her to stop saying things certain ways or to not always speak her mind because her words hurt me more than she knows. she keeps saying that i am trying to change who she is as a person when really i’m trying to help keep our relationship working because i dont want to be around someone who is gunna make me feel bad about myself at times. dont get me wrong she isnt like this all the time just occasionally… but she wants me to not be so sensitive and i feel like she is trying to change my personality and all im trying to do is get her to leave out certain words and sarcasms that offend me yet she feels like that is me trying to change who she is. Any advice on what we can do to make this work and your opinion on a pisces (with my chart) and a leo relationship. (sorry this is so long)
— theonlypathleft

Okay, so, I’m kind of scratching my head a little. Why are you in this relationship? I mean, I understand there must be something valuable here for you to have been in this relationship for nearly four years— but it sounds like you’re quite hurt. Are you really in a relationship where the pros outweigh the cons? Or are you in a toxic relationship you’re desperately trying to save? I have to ask partly because of what you said here, and also partly because Pisces are notorious for not knowing when to back out of a relationship. They’ll stay in too long, hoping to save it, or because they’re scared they won’t find love elsewhere, etc.

A Pisces needs someone who is attentive to their feelings, and if your partner isn’t sensitive to your feelings… well, I just worry for your well being. :c also, if she’s accusing you of trying to change her, and you said you feel like she’s trying to change you… I can’t help but feel as though perhaps you two aren’t meant to be. Now, I know that’s not what you want to hear. But, you’re a sensitive guy right? And it’s not like you can just stop being sensitive. It’s who you are! It’s part of your personality! You can’t just morph who you are to please her. :c

Therefore, no, I don’t really know what you can do to improve your relationship. My honest advice is to think about whether or not you ought to even be with this girl… :c

I'm a pisces girl, can I get Aries or Libra boy? Who's more match with me?

Of course you could get an Aries or Libra boy. c: But, generally speaking? As a Pisces, you’re probably more likely to get along romantically with an Aries than a Libra.

However, if you have a Venus Sign in, say Aquarius, you might prefer a Libra! Compatibility isn’t quite so black-and-white. c:

Is it normal for Pisces to be less sociable than most people? I'm fine with not socializing with people for long periods of time.

Well, I think out of the zodiac, Pisces are more like to be less social than other signs. So, yes. Most Pisces are content on being alone for a period of time; we enjoy being with our thoughts, and being alone allows time to do this. However, Pisces can still be quite social! Pisces can get along with all types of people, after all. c: But being that most Pisces seem to be introverts… ? Basically, an introvert is a person who is energized by being alone and whose energy is drained by being around other people. So,it makes sense that the majority of Pisces are fine not socializing for long periods of time. c:

What do you see a pisces studying history or science? (What do you think is a perfect major for a pisces? )

… neeiiither. Between the two? Both are honestly fair game. History I think could be interpreted as “Historical Fiction” to a Pisces— you know, perhaps they go off on fantastical tangents while studying. However, science has a lot of theories… and it offers a lot of different fields. I could see a Pisces enjoying the ability to move from field to field.

However, I think most pisces would be most content having some sort of artistic, social science, or humanities major. As far as a “perfect major”? I can’t say. What one major may have in a surplus, they also lack  in something else.

Depends on the rule / law ~

How do I help my Pisces overcome their fear of commitment?

Well, people can have a fear of commitment for different reasons.

Some people have an intense fear of abandonment, so they push people away before they can leave them so as to avoid feeling abandoned. Others worry about loving someone who will betray them. More commonly, I think, people associate commitment as something concrete. They think they might be invaded— like, their personal space, or free time, etc. I mean, there are really a lot of reasons.

Thinking about the Pisces behavior though? I’m willing to bet it has something to do with worrying they’re going to be too emotionally invested, only to be hurt in some way. Before you consider my advice, please consider perhaps thinking about why they fear commitment in the first place? Because once you understand why they fear commitment, you’ll be able to best address the issue.

However, if it’s really because they are afraid of being hurt, I think that’s an issue of trust. Maybe not so much on trusting you, but it could be past experiences that make them wary of relationships, too.

:c It’s difficult to change someone’s mindset, though. If it IS about trust, you’ll just have to show by example, I think.

Well, your moon signs aren’t very compatible… which would mean that the way the two of you approach things at an emotional level differ. He might come of insensitive to you because of this difference.

If he leans more towards the gemini side of the cancer/gemini cusp, this insensitivity might be even more prevalent.

Pisces Confession:

As a Pisces, being able to love and loving love is as easy as walking. We love relationships, whether they’re social or romantic, but with our infinite imagination of love and dreams comes fear. We imagine ourselves with the one we love or are interested in and imagine ourselves with them to the point where reality isn’t good enough. That’s why I feel that as much as we love love, we are also afraid to let ourselves love because we want that exact imagination to come to life. We have to be willing to separate from our imaginations and let reality in sometimes.

The sea at dusk and dawn

Pisces, the final Water sign, is the mystical, poetic, highly sensitive sign ruled by Neptune. Dreamy, devotional, artistic and not removed from addictive tendencies, I think of light purple and the stain of Bacchus’s grape. Its image is the sea at its most tender, a lavender sea at dusk and dawn.

When I'm sad I usually find music I can relate to. When I'm angry I usually write music. Hope this helps.

As a pisces, I feel a strong connection to music and the performance arts, so I overcome my depression and sad stages by singing, writing songs (Jazz is a very good genre as an honest and real type of music, especially in the lyrics) and I also dance. It really helps with a lot of my anxiety, and overcoming my fears.

Thank you! <3
