The Pisces man often exhibits some form of messiah complex. He can be pathologically jealous of others’ successes. He is hypersensitive and prone to drug and alcohol abuse. He may be oedipal. “Attuned” to mystical occurrences, he may suffer from hallucinations, paranoia, or schizophrenia.
For the most part, I think this is compatible. Like, on a scale of 1-10? I think perhaps a 7. My only real concern is the Sagittarius Moon causing conflict with your Rising Virgo, but this pair seems like it would be pretty decent.
Please don’t quote me on any of this, I’m pulling from memory here.
Okay, so, in the most simplest terms: Astrology is the searching for meaning in the sky. I believe the first documentation of the use of astrology was back in ancient civilizations— I can’t tell you which one, but it’s an old practice. It was popular in Ancient Greece, for example. In modern day, Astrology is considered a pseudoscience— a “fake science.” This is because Astrology is usually perceived/presented as a scientific practice (as its original use was for science), but it has no empirical evidence to support it.
Technically, yes, Astrology does make the claim that the positioning of constellations/planets on the time of your birth has an affect on your personality. Additionally, Astrology also makes a claim that there is a relationship between astronomical phenomena and events in the human world.
( Personally, I don’t try and present astrology as a pseudoscience. If you’ve ever looked at my “about the blog” page, you’d see that I think of it more along the lines of a belief. In fact, there are religions that incorporate astrology, :c so I think it’s a bit offensive to go around saying it’s definitively a pseudoscience! )
Personally, I try to advocate the use of astrology as more of a guide, or a tool. Perhaps akin to a personality test, like Myers Briggs Type Indicator. The things you read about your sign(s) in astrology may or may not be accurate about yourself, but I believe you still have the ability to learn about yourself from whatever you read, and self-reflect.
Anyways, to elaborate about the aspects within astrology: Astrology looks at the position of the Sun, Moon, and the planets, to give a prediction on your overall personality. You said you believe yourself to be a pisces, but technically a Pisces is someone who was born between February 19/20 - March 20. (This is because the Sun transits between the 330°-360° of celestial longitude.)
There’s really a lot of aspects to astrology, which can get very confusing because of the terminology. If you’re interested in learning more, I’d visit some websites like Astro, Astrology, and CafeAstrology.
I’m Pisces and I tend to not get along with (although I don’t voice this to them) Cancers and Leos, I find them far to manipulative and Leo’s far to demanding and ruling, and also the bipolarity of an Gemini can catch me off guard, I never know what I am dealing with. I find that I personally, get along great with Aquarius, my grandparents and my best friend are Aquarius, and we get along great, I find that I am able to be myself, and speak honestly. This is my own experience with the zodiacs.
Yes.
I’m very much a believer in “You teach others how to treat you.” So as a Pisces, if you are typically a doormat, you’ve potentially taught your peers that it’s normal to walk over you. When the Pisces acts differently, and perhaps retaliates from being walked on, people are going to be a little shocked. Perhaps angry, even, because of the change in dynamics.
And now it’s been… what, at least two months? Because I’m a horrible blog owner? ;; um.
1. Force yourself to go to campus events. Chances are likely, there are other people in the same exact situation as you. This includes joining a club! There’s typically tons of clubs to choose from, and I know at my college there’s club rushes practically every month. Why not take the time to check out a club rush, and see if any catch your interest? Hopefully it will have some people who are like-minded to you. c:
2. Skype or do some other form of video-chat with your family? You could also establish a day of the week when you can call your family.
3. I find, personally, that the work load gets easier as you get used to it? Um, at first things normally feel overwhelming, but when I get used to being in the motion of things, I find ways to make my school schedule work with all the things that have to be done. Key is learning not to panic and give up when things first look overwhelming.
Don’t get dismayed! You can do it. <3
Most things I’ve read say Pisces would most naturally be sorted into Hufflepuff. Personally, I do agree with this. And I’d put Ravenclaw as a second. I don’t personally think a Pisces would be considered “abnormal” in any of the houses, though I have read others who think that Slytherin would be the most unnatural house.
To perhaps further satisfy your curiosity, look at this site?
They have little descriptions for each zodiac in each house. c: You’ll find Pisces at the bottom of the page. <3
There’s a link to a calculator featured on the top of the page, in which you can enter your birthday. Once you calculate your signature, the initial page lists all possible types and I encourage you to find your type and read up on it a little. c:
I thought I might as well share on this blog as well. <3
It’s nice to know I’m not the only Pisces that prefers Aries over other signs. My girlfriend and my best friend are Aries and I get along with them famously. It’s really easy to get along with an Aries as long as you’re direct with your feelings and aren’t afraid to take control once and a while<3 As for signs I don’t get along with, I don’t get along with Cancers or Gemini. Cancers are too over emotional and I find them extremely manipulative (not saying all are, my brother is a Cancer). Gemini are too fickle for me and I don’t like how they constantly change their minds. I also don’t like how they can be two-faced.
Hmm. My first inclination is to say Libra. I think your masculine venus sign would harmonize well with a Libra, and your Scorpio traits might find a the air sign intriguing. However, idealistically, it’d be nice if the Libra had a water moon sign, to give you emotional satisfaction. :c However, I think you might have a good match with Scorpios, too.
I’m a true Pisces and honestly, I don’t get on well with Cancers. I’ve come to find they lie a lot and I prefer people who are direct. I really hope this thing going on with an Aries works out well.. but they really are self-involved. He never asks questions about me ._. it’s always me asking him.
I don’t know much about the contest, but here. c: It’s a hyperlink to the blog. <3
edit:
ROFL. I’M SO HORRIBLE. ;; Looks like they just ended the contest. ;;; Um, but perhaps maybe some of my followers will take interest in the blog and follow? Or participate next time?
I’m always reading about Pisces compatibility. Cancers are my best partners, they say. And Aries is one of the worse ones. I, in all honesty, really don’t like Cancers. It might be from past experience with a very very close Cancer friend of mine telling me she loved me, but I just don’t like Cancers. I’m falling for an Aries, but I’m sure she only thinks of me as a friend…
I wasn’t sure how to answer a particular anon, so I thought I’d ask you guys. c:
Typically, Pisces go with the flow. However, Pisces are also very emotional beings! So, if going with the flow involves doing something they don’t agree with, whether it be on a moral issue or something, it’s not uncommon to see the Fish swim upstream~
Not really. I’m of the belief that the sun sign normally does a pretty good job of keeping the rest of the chart “in check.”
However, I suppose you could make the argument that because the rising sign deals with how you interact and deal with new situations, it could be very important in forming friendships. Like, for example, if we have two Pisces… one with a Cancer Rising, the other with a Gemini Rising, perhaps the Gemini Rising has an easier time making friends. (Gemini Rising would be more outgoing than Cancer Rising).
But as to whether or not I think the rising sign is more powerful? Typically, no. The only exception I can think of any sign being more powerful than the sun (in relationships) would be a Water Sign Moon.
Yesss. I will. u___u I’m honestly just debating with myself how to format them. Do I make them chat posts? Images? :c Hmmmm. I’m so unsure. Most of them I already have done. Sort of. It’s just that issue of format… I suppose most will have a lot of text… so chat posts might be best… ? /thinking out loud
Alas, don’t fret anon. I haven’t forgotten, despite my apparent slothfulness.
So, I was falling asleep a few nights ago, and I was thinking about Pisces. And feet. For anyone new to astrology reading this, no I don’t have some sort of awkward foot fetish. Each sign rules over a body part— Pisces rules the feet. Now, I’ve always kind of been a little dissatisfied with that. I mean, look at the other water signs— Cancer and Scorpio. Their ruling body parts are the breasts/stomach, and the genital organs. Now, of course my interpretation here is up for debate… but:
Both Cancer & Scorpio rule over body parts that are stereotypically maternal. Okay, okay, you can argue with me that Scorpio— being the genital organs— is rather gender flexible. In regards to that, I’d like to say this: firstly, Scorpio is a feminine sign. Secondly, being a sex organ, and sex is associated with reproduction… and well, if you look to mythological gods, it’s normally a godess that represents fertility and reproduction. So, I think it’s understandable if I argue that both Cancer & Scorpio have maternal, feminine body parts. The breasts/stomach/genital organs are all parts of childbirth, and then Pisces… is the feet. Um, it almost seems out of place next to Cancer and Scorpio?
Anyways. Then I started thinking about how the feet essentially ground a person. Like, in the literal sense? Our feet bind us to earth. Which seems like the polar opposite to Pisces! The idealistic, unstructured Pisces.
But I know the literal, most obvious explanation: if Aries is ruler of the face, and also the “start of the soul’s journey…” it simply ends with Pisces, in the feet. The soul travels through each zodiac sign, through the circle, through each body part. The body is like a linear representation of what the circle zodiac wheel shows us.
Now, I might lose you here… but, I was thinking about how the crown chakra is usually drawn outside, above the body. And how the crown chakra represents a type of enlightenment. Can I therefore say “true enlightenment is outside the body?” And, perhaps, Pisces, being as far away from the head— from where the soul began (with Aries), it symbolizes the enlightened soul of Pisces?
I was just thinking, is all.
In the Pisces mind, the first step toward deciding whether or not to let you close is whether or not they feel comfortable with physical closeness, which starts with the way you smell — no kidding. Be sure to wear cologne, then, but nothing too overpowering. What you’re after is that all-important first kiss, and while mistletoe season is over, kissing season isn’t. It’s still capable of making or breaking that tricky, tender trip toward intimacy with this equally tender, sensitive sign.
I thought I’d just… casually reblog this for you guys.
I’m kind of apprehensive when it comes to stuff like this? But I suppose it makes sense. You have Pisces, a tender, hypersensitive sign (when it comes to love, that is). So, granted that the Pisces has already decided that the other passes the “physical attractiveness” check, (because, regardless of what anyone says, attractiveness is a key factor in romance) I do think it naturally makes sense for us to go to smell. I mean, with pheromones and all? A bad smell might mean bad chemistry, and Pisces is so easily hurt in love— we don’t want to take that risk!
I’m just kind of babbling on.
I keep forgetting to check this blog. Oops?
ps: I’m wearing my pisces shirt. <3
Mutable signs (Gemini, Virgo, Sagittarius, Pisces) are:
- Changeable
- Adaptable
- Restless
- Flexible
- Versatile
- Amenable
Yes, certainly.
Pisces are normally quite introverted, and introversion often has traits that allow a person to be comfortable being alone, enjoying seclusion, etc. So, it might throw people off when they hear Pisces associated as “very dependent and clingy.”
/time for a slight tangent
For a long time, I couldn’t tell if I was “dependent” or “independent,” myself. Personally, I don’t have a problem doing things on my own. I can teach myself things, follow directions easily— I don’t have to be told what to do. I associate this as being independent. However, I also think that since I’m incredibly introverted, these were traits I picked up from not wanting to, um, socialize? Does that make sense? Like, since I purposely would isolate myself (since I felt more comfortable that way), I developed independent traits.
However, it’s as you said. With the people I care about, I’m actually incredibly needy. And clingy. I’ve never been in a relationship, but I suspect I’d be incredibly dependent in that area as well. And I suspect this is usually how the “dependent and clingy” trait is meant? It’s a little perplexing, considering Pisces can be both quite independent and dependent individuals. I think it’s, as you illustrated, a varying emotion?
Sorry for going off on that personal tangent, but I think perhaps sharing my personal experience on this might’ve been relevant?? Haha, sorry.
Water signs (Cancer, Scorpio, Pisces) are:
- Sensitive
- Emotional
- Compassionate
- Caring
- Deep
- Imaginative
I have gotten a few messages recently about specific birthdays, wanting information about a Pisces born on, say, March ninth, or February twenty second. This is just a reminder that I have a link for birthday profiles located on the blog’s homepage. It’s on the right side, and clicking it will bring you to a page with two more links. One for simplified birthday profiles, and another for more detailed birthday profiles.
However, if you want, you could also search by adding “/tagged/MONTH_DAY#” at the end of the url. For example,
http://piscesparadox.tumblr.com/tagged/March_2
That would take you directly to all my current information about Pisces born on March second.
You absorb impressions, images, and emotions from everything around you, and then filter them through your rose-colored view of how you’d like things to be. This is not to say you cannot deal with reality — it’s just that you like to think of life as an ultraromantic movie filled with happy endings and where everyone has the best possible motives. You’re a big bundle of feelings. You feel intense joy and happiness when you’re involved in a creative project or a loving relationship. The opposite is also true: you can suffer greater depths of sadness than most. Yet you’re tougher than most people think. Push you down and you keep bouncing back like a rubber bathtub toy. You’re charged with energy and get caught up in what’s going on around you. Your greatest strength is in giving to others; you’re always ready to help whoever needs you.
Well, I’m inclined to say no. I think a Leo might, honestly, wind up not being sensitive enough to your needs— especially if you’re shy and quiet. And in return, you might feel hurt. Leo’s tend to be a little self-revolving, and it can be a bit of a struggle for them to remember to consider the needs of others. Additionally, Pisces might be difficult for a Leo to figure out. The Leo might have no idea what the Pisces needs are, especially if you’re shy and quiet.
I’m inclined to believe that if you find someone who is similar to you, and therefore sensitive to your needs, you’ll gain a sense of confidence and therefore become more outgoing.
Just as a random note, if you were curious (though I suspect many of you know, especially those of you I’ve replied to privately)— silly-sibyl is another blog of mine. In fact, piscesparadox is a “sub-blog” to silly-sibyl. That’s why I reblog/redirect a lot of things from silly-sibyl.
